Traditions

What are your holiday traditions?  Do you have a big Christmas party?  Or go to midnight mass?  Does your family draw names for gifts?

Maybe you open your gifts on Christmas Eve instead of the next morning.  Or you and your sisters all get together for a big cookie-baking day.  How many of you spend Christmas Day travelling from house to house with gifts and food?  Or go caroling?

Maybe you’re one of the few who doesn’t have a tradition or maybe you want to start a new one.  Here are some YesterNook inspired ideas:

Have a Schnitzelburg shopping day.  Get together with a group of friends and spend the morning exploring the awesome Christmas offerings at YesterNook, then have lunch at one of the nearby restaurants.

Take a cool vintage ornament to your office ornament exchange party.

Instead of an Ugly Sweater Party, hold a Cool Vintage Winter Coat Party.

Use vintage plates and tins deliver your holiday cookies to friends and family.

Use vintage ornaments and holiday tidbits to embellish wrapped gifts.

Come to the store and go caroling at the various booths.

Build a unique Nativity scene out of lost or discarded pieces of other Nativities.

Make holiday gift baskets or holly arrangements out of old enamelware pots.

Get everyone on your gift list a YesterNook gift certificate.

Come to YesterNook and see how many flocked Santas and knee hugger elves you can find.

Go over to our Facebook page and share some of your YesterNook holiday tradition ideas!  Or share special traditions that your family has!  One of our favorite traditions here at the store is appreciating all of our customers during the holidays and all throughout the year.  That’s a tradition everyone can take part in!
