Well...if you remember that the building used to be a funeral home and then you think about the hearses and where they would need to be parked when not in use, you'll understand why the building is there.
A better question to ask would be: "What would a re-sale establishment like YesterNook do with a four-car garage?" The answer to that one is obvious:
USE IT AS A ROUGH ROOM!
If you haven't checked out Godfrey's Garage, the rough room at YesterNook, what are you waiting for? Just like the main store, there is no telling what you will find in there!
A rough room is for items that vendors want to sell, that might need just a little work or TLC. Sometimes, it's just a coat of paint or a refinish job, which makes the garage a perfect place for the project-oriented folks to find a piece for their next re-do.
The garage is also for pieces that might be more appropriately used outdoors. We've had a great selection of patio tables and chairs move through the garage this summer.
Sometimes a vendor might put something in there that they simply don't have room for in their booth at the moment. Sometimes an item has been marked down and moved to the garage for quick sale. Some vendors make box lots of small items, which can be a real bargain.
Then there are those pieces that just don't seem to fit anywhere else.
If you haven't been to the garage, why not check it out the next time you're in the store? There are lots of treasures just waiting to be explored and the prices are super! Come on! You know you want to.
Godfrey's Garage is located behind the YesterNook store. You can access it from the parking lot or by going out the back door of the building. Items from the garage do not have to be brought into the store for purchase. Simply tear the tag off and bring it to the register. Then you can load your item right from the garage.
Note: The items in the pictures were in stock when the pictures were taken, but may have sold since. If you see something you like, you might want to call the store to check about it before coming down.
